Day 1
Cairo: Upon arrival, our representative will meet and assist you through airport formalities and will escort you to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2 Cairo: After breakfast, you will begin your full day tour in Cairo which includes a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. After lunch in a local oriental restaurant, you will visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Overnight in Cairo.
Day #3
Alexandria & Cairo: An early start after breakfast for Alexandria where we visit the Roman Amphitheater, the Catacombs (the Roman Cemetery), the bibliotheca (new libraray, and the Citadel. Return to Cairo (3 Hours drive each way). Leisure night in Cairo. REcommended Optional Tour: Sound & Light Show.
Day #4 Cairo: Free day shopping. Overnight train to Luxor.
Day#5
Luxor- The East Bank: Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your Nile Cruise. You will then visit the Temple of Luxor and the Temple of Karnak. For Sound and Light Show, please check the appropriate box under the optional tours. Overnight on board.
Day 6 Luxor-The West Bank: After breakfast, you will visit the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Overnight sail to Edfu.
Day 7 Edfu & Kom-Ombo: After breakfast, you will visit the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the Falcon god Horus. In the afternoon, sail to Kom-Ombo and visit the Temple of Kom-Ombo dedicated to the Crocodile god Sobek. Overnight sail to Aswan.
Day 8
Aswan: After breakfast, you will visit the Granite Quarries (the Unfinished Obelisk), the Temple of Philae which is dedicated to the goddess Isis, and the High Dam. In the afternoon, you will view the Elephantine island and the Botanical Gardens by felucca.
Day 9
Abu Simbel: An early departure by road (3 hours each way) for Abu Simble and the great temple of Ramsess II and Nefertari. In the evening, you will take the overnight train to Cairo.
Day 10 Cairo: After breakfast, you will visit Memphis, the oldest capital in history, followed by a visit to Sakkara, the necropolis of the old kingdom and the step pyramid. End your day with a trip to Khan Khalil Bazzar. Over night in Cairo.
Day 11 Cairo: Leisure day in Cairo. Recommended optional tours: the Phronic Village.
Day 12: After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport for your departure.
